Welcome to Amen, the new boutique located in the trendy Marais in Paris. This store inspired by the Retrofuturistic 80’s look alike, is the result of the creativity of two friends, Geoffray & Josep. Geoffray is a French Interior Designer and he was influenced by the work of the french artist Jean Pierre Raynaud, mostly known because he used white 15x15cm tiles with black grout joints to build all the interiors of his house in La Celle St.Cloud. Also, the neons’ grid all over the roof reminds us the aesthetic of the movie Tron.
The store used to be an old hairstyling salon, so that’s why they decided to keep all the mirrors which gives an extraordinary illusion of an infinite lighted grid. To enhance the reflection effect they put a line of mirrored and colourful plexiglas panels to also contour the boutique and define the path to follow.
Though also as a museum, Geoffray & Josep make a very selective choice of the Designers that are going to present their collection of jewellery and objects, and they’re exhibited into glass display cases surrounding the shop.
And the name is simply a clin d’oeil (wink) to the religious paradox between desire and wish, with a little Goth style 😉
Are you ready to say your prayer and realise your deepest grant?
Amen✟
And for the end, i let you with some pictures of Retrofuturistic images and a video from TRON performed by Daft Punk.
