Unveiling the Unbounded
We are living in the age of endless interconnectivity: massive information comes from everywhere, apology of social media, unlimited creativity and immeasurable fonts for all expression of Art have revendicated its peak; and it’s only the beginning: we have not yet reached the zenith.
If i can compare our present to another period of time it would be a contemporary Rennaisance, where all types of Art converged, as a New Bauhaus, flourishing in the Digital Era and spreading its ideas everywhere.
There’s more than a decade that the Fashion Industry gets inspired by Art, Design, but lately also Architecture. The reversed option is also true: Architects can draw their constructions inspired by Fashion Designers. I remember years ago doing my first internship in Paris at an Italian Architect agency, he kept Vogue and other fashion magazines to look for the images that were going to inspire his next concept.
No need to mention the King of the Kings, Mr. Karl Lagerfeld, the Queen of incredible prints Mary Katrantzou, Rick Owens, Akris and loads of Fashion Designers obsessed by Architecture, Furniture and Design in general.
Our visionnaire and genious passed away Steve Jobs was told that « We don’t mix apples and computers« . And he did well not to listen to this advice.
These lines you, dear visitor you are reading and this space pretend to be the blog explaining what is Connecting Trends which is just the combination of my two passions: Furniture and Fashion. Not the crazy concept one day trying to explain to my cousin she understood « Furniture wearing clothes » which followed in one hour of uncontrollable laughs. The unlimited blurred space between clothes and design reunited in a same space.
Waiting for the moment when i could finally launch my first collection with my own design, please enjoy this blog and don’t hesitate to spread to the world!
